Terms of service
The terms on which mosques and Islamic centres use Local Scot Digital.
Last updated 4 October 2026
1.The service
Local Scot Digital gives your organisation a website, an installable web app, TV prayer-screen displays and an administration panel, with optional modules such as donations, Gift Aid and funeral-scheme management. Features depend on your plan.
2.Your account
The person who signs up confirms they are authorised to act for the mosque. You choose who in your team has access and you are responsible for what they publish. Keep sign-in details private.
3.Your content and data
Your mosque owns its content and data. You give us permission to host and display it to provide the service. You must have the right to publish what you upload, and must not use Local Scot Digital for anything unlawful or harmful.
4.Prayer times
Prayer times are calculated from your location and the settings you choose. Please check them against your imam’s or committee’s timetable; you are responsible for the times your mosque publishes.
5.Donations and Gift Aid
Donations go to your mosque through the payment method or bank details you provide. Local Scot Digital does not hold donated money unless separately agreed. You are responsible for your charity’s Gift Aid claims and for checking each declaration before claiming.
6.Fees
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Platform fees on donations apply as shown on the pricing page. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price change. VAT will be added where it applies.
7.Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Paid features stop at the end of the period you have paid for, and your mosque can stay on the free Starter plan. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after giving notice where we reasonably can.
8.Availability
We aim to keep Local Scot Digital available at all times and TV screens are built to keep working offline, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Our total liability in any year is limited to the fees you paid in that year, except where the law does not allow this limit.
9.Law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction, unless your organisation is based elsewhere in the UK, in which case you may use the courts where you are based.
